Atunement!
Dr. Cookie Aloha considered her work on the subject of atunement to be her most important work, although she was quick to point out the importance of the Pineapple Principles, The Gecko Contemplative Movement exercises, and the Path of the Royal Palm in making a S.A.F.E. spine! Whenever I would get a little anxious about my ability to improve my skills, she would remind me that most people struggle to make good health choices, and that I look for good feedback from people I trust and do the best I can. Once, on a particularly disappointing day I was whining about my life and she looked me square in the eyes and said ‘Mike, you’re an incurable deviant. and I think it’s just gonna get worse!’ She was good at puncturing my self pity. She called her principles of Atunement ‘Flowing in the river Aloha’. Here are the 4 principles of the Flow;
1) Remember to Breathe. A lot, and with gentle attention.
2) Remember your own goals, and expect to achieve them!
3) Manage your stress with the Pineapple Principles and Muscular relaxaation.
4) Surround yourself with positive people who support your goals and give you helpful feedback!
The skills of Flowing in the river Aloha are indeed, in my opinion, the most important skills in the building of a S.A.F.E. Spine, and even a S.A.F.E. Life! Much, Much more on them soon!
See you in the adjusting room!
